The Software Update Process

To begin the update process, users should confirm that are currently running either V2.00 or V2.10 software on there unit.  If not this software is available above this update.

Following confirmation of V2.00 or V2.10, users should download the software to their computer. Once successfully downloaded onto your PC, unzip the files on your computer before copying them to a blank 4 GB or greater Class 6 SD card. Do not rename files.

Once the files have been saved to the blank SD card, eject the card from your computer or external card reader and insert into your Humminbird unit. Please note that during the update process it is critical that you maintain continual power to your unit.

Once the installation is completed, power down the unit and restart.

Description:
HumminbirdPC is a free download, and is used for maintaining, converting and managing your way points.
Also you can update your software on non-sd card capable units with use ofa Humminbird PC connect cable available from your Humminbird dealer.
Prerequisite:
• A PC-compatible computer running Windows 95 or higher
• At least one USB port or serial port
• Java version 6 update 26 at a minimum

Instructions:
Prior to downloading this software, please make sure of the following:
1. You should have all of the latest Windows Updates completed.
2. Download this program to your PC.
3. Run the program and follow the installation instructions.
CAUTION! We highly recommend that you restore the defaults on your Humminbird unit prior to downloading any new software as it can create complications that can only be fixed at the factory.
